Future Plan

According to Vision 2021, the Department of Livestock has taken various initiatives to meet the per capita demand of milk, meat and eggs at 250 ml / day, 120 g / day and 104 / year respectively. Achieving the desired development targets by 2020-21. Establishment of Disease Control, Surveillance, Quality Improvement of Medical Services and Disease Research Laboratories. . Development of cow and buffalo breeds through expansion of artificial insemination activities to increase the production of dairy and beef breeds. Expansion of improved varieties of grass to increase the supply of animal feed, introduction of TMR technology and establishment of laboratory for quality control of animal feed. In addition to ensuring sustainable production of livestock, security of animal meat, meeting the demand for safe animal nutrition of our people, increasing export earnings and ensuring desired socio-economic development through participation of the intended population.
